DIY Leaf Imprinted Garden Stepping Stones

February 27, 2014 by Chris

Would you like to have some DIY Leaf Imprinted Garden Stepping Stones in your garden? If so, “step” right into this DIY Leaf Imprinted Garden Stepping Stones tutorial.  If you would like your own signature on this craft idea, think about adding glass beads, small river stones, or broken ceramic. I’ve seen kits that you can buy at hobby stores like, Hobby Lobby, where stepping stones can be made with hand prints or footprints.  This is a great gift on Mother’s Day for Mom or a grandmother. The version of using a large leaf keeps it simple and very Earth friendly. It’s easy and would certainly be fitting for just about any garden or yard area.

This example shows a large leaf and a cardboard tube form. This would work well with a collage of many smaller leaves. This idea was discovered at Hemmariket, but note that it’s not in English. You may have to use google translate, however the pictures are fairly self-explanatory. If you are a teacher, and your class is studying the structure of a leaf, your students would think this project was very cool! As a parent, this is a great way to have a science lesson, as well. What a fun weekend project!
