Repurposed Console TV Cabinet

March 20, 2013 by Chris

Not just an old TV; this thing is an antique! This tutorial for a Repurposed Console TV Cabinet would be great fun for someone who loves to disassemble things! I’ve actually seen a couple of these on people’s curbs to be thrown away. Now, you can see the possibilities in what someone thought to be trash! My sweet aunt and uncle had one of these old console TV’s for years. My Uncle Nick is a good idea man and thought of repurposing his console TV cabinet, as well. He took out the old, tube TV and set a newer flat screen in its place.  Not bad, at all! It had doors on the front that would close when not watching.

For this new idea of Repurposed Console TV Cabinet, you’ve got to go meet the crafty family who turned this vintage TV into a modern looking living room book shelf over at Home Hinges! It’s quite an inspiring story, especially considering they did this on a dime. They have a ton of other projects, just like it, too! Go check it out here.
