Ombre Easter Eggs

February 27, 2014 by Chris

This is such an easy way of coloring Ombre Easter Eggs! It has such a beautiful outcome! It requires a bit more time than your typical Easter egg coloring kit, but the actual steps require very little effort. Start with just a little bit of water with concentrated dye in a cup. Let the eggs sit for a few minutes to absorb the color. Wait until your desired darkness of color, then add a little more water. Let them sit for a few minutes longer, then continue until your eggs are completely covered in the colored dye.

Remember, in the beginning, the dye colored water is very concentrated. Each time you add more water, the dye becomes more and more diluted. One way to make it even more interesting and colorful would be to try mixing some the primary colors, red, yellow, and blue.  Add another twist by using a white crayon to draw words or artwork on the eggs before the dye process.  Hippity, hoppity on over to check out the Ombre Easter Eggs tutorial and other great craft ideas at El Hada De Papel!
