Step #3: Once I decided how and where I wanted to place the message, I just started writing it in cursive. It looked really awesome until some time went by. I discovered that if your letters are too close together, you may not be able to read some of the words! But, you know what? You can’t keep a determined DIYer from doing her thang! While I was at one of our most incredible, local hobby stores; Hobby Lobby; I happened across the perfect tool for my dilemma! It was a fabric staining pen called Stained by Sharpie pen. They are available in a plethora of colors, but I purchased a black one for under $4.00. (I will get more colors soon, as I’ve already thought of some tennis shoes that need some artwork!)
